Coaching for high performers who value lasting cognitive change over hype.
Cognitive Behavioral Coaching transforms mental barriers into measurable performance by addressing how individuals think, interpret pressure, and act when stakes are highest. In high-pressure environments, performance breakdowns rarely stem from a lack of skill; they emerge from unexamined beliefs, cognitive overload, and emotional reactivity. CBC creates deliberate awareness of these internal patterns and replaces them with disciplined, goal-aligned thinking and behavior. By strengthening self-regulation, decision clarity, and behavioral follow-through, CBC enables leaders and performers to execute with precision under stress, adapt in real time, and sustain high performance when outcomes matter most.

By identifying and reshaping unhelpful thinking patterns, CBC improves judgment under pressure, emotional regulation, and confidence in complex situations. This approach is especially effective for individuals stepping into greater leadership roles, where clarity of thinking, self-management, and consistent behavior directly impact performance and credibility.

Leadership Development Coaching at Velanegra Executive Coaching is conducted through a structured, developmental process focused on how leaders think, make meaning, and adapt as complexity increases. Engagements begin by clarifying the leader’s current role, challenges, and decision context, then identifying the cognitive and behavioral patterns shaping their leadership approach. Coaching sessions emphasize reflection, real-world application, and deliberate practice, allowing leaders to expand their capacity to navigate ambiguity, lead others effectively, and operate with greater consistency across situations. The work is forward-focused and practical, supporting sustainable growth as leaders assume greater responsibility.

We support creative professionals—actors, writers, and storytellers—in translating internal insight into disciplined creative execution using Cognitive Behavioral Coaching. This work helps identify and dismantle cognitive blocks such as self-doubt, performance anxiety, identity constraints, and avoidance patterns that interfere with auditions, character development, and sustained creative output. Rather than relying on volatility or inspiration alone, coaching strengthens psychological flexibility, focus, and intentional access to internal material while maintaining emotional control. The approach is structured, evidence-based, and performance-oriented, supporting creatives in producing authentic work, sustaining momentum on complex projects like screenplays, and performing with confidence and stability in high-pressure, highly evaluative environments.
I am a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with over 500 hours of professional coaching experience, working from an evidence-based foundation that integrates Cognitive Behavioral Coaching (CBC), leadership psychology, and transformational and servant leadership principles. My work focuses on helping leaders think more clearly, regulate effectively under pressure, and translate insight into consistent behavior and execution.
Prior to coaching, I served as a United States Army Special Operations Soldier, retiring after a career that included service as a Psychological Operations specialist. In that role, understanding human behavior, influence, decision-making, and leadership under stress was essential—not theoretical. That experience continues to inform how I approach leadership development, communication, and performance today.
I am currently a PhD student in Industrial–Organizational Psychology and am completing the Board Certified Coach (BCC) credential. This combination of operational leadership experience, advanced academic training, and professional coaching practice allows me to work with leaders in a disciplined, ethical, and results-focused manner.
Effective leadership is not driven by personality, charisma, or motivation alone. It is built through clear thinking, disciplined self-awareness, and intentional behavior—especially under pressure. My philosophy is grounded in the belief that lasting change occurs when leaders understand how their thinking shapes their emotions, decisions, and actions.
By combining evidence-based coaching, Cognitive Behavioral principles, and servant leadership, the focus remains on developing leaders who lead with clarity, accountability, and respect for the people they serve. The goal is not to create a different version of the leader, but a more deliberate, grounded, and effective one.
I offer a range of services including one-on-one coaching, group coaching, and workshops. These services are designed to help clients overcome obstacles, improve their mindset, and achieve their goals.
